Interdependence 2012 Conference and Expo
May 15-18 2011 | Vancouver, Canada
*Note: submit an abstract by December 12th!*
"Healthy and accessible environments for all citizens are becoming indispensable for future urban developments. Interdependence2012 will be a significant opportunity to share international practices on inclusive design.”
- Klaus Meinel, Managing Director, International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS)
“We need to get to a place where our indoor and outdoor spaces are designed as fully accessible, not because it is mandated by code but because it is accepted as a fundamental design principle. Interdependence 2012 is an ideal vehicle for advancing this notion locally and internationally.”
- Conrad Boychuk, Senior Director – Recreation and Venue Design, CEI Architecture Planning Interiors
“The goals of the research program of Interdependence 2012 go beyond mere appeal to the different SCI research disciplines. Rather, Interdependence 2012 will explicitly enable cross-disciplinary interaction and knowledge-sharing among the different specialities in order to foster research collaboration and develop innovative solutions to the problems faced by those with SCI.”
- Michael Fehlings, Chair, Interdependence 2012 Research Program Advisory Committee
