The Student Biotechnology Network is proud to kick-off its 10th season with “Building Biotech: Powering the BioEconomy”.

Building Biotech is our annual kick-off event which serves to educate students by illuminating on an exciting area of the life sciences industry. This inspirational and interactive evening offers students an opportunity to expand their knowledge of biotechnology from experts on the topic at hand.  This year with Building Biotech:Powering the BioEconomy, we hope to create student awareness of BioProducts, BioEnergy and other clean technologies, encouraging and inspiring students to follow career paths within this growing sector.

What to Expect

  • An opportunity to learn more about the BioProducts and BioEnergy sectors within the Life Sciences Industry
  • A vibrant panel discussion where all attendees may ask questions to the panel
  • A chance to network with industry leaders
  • Roundtable Mentorship - a chance to be seated with and receive valuable advice from mentors in your area of interest 
  • A three course dinner included with your registration

SBN highly encourages the use of transit to arrive at the Sutton Place Hotel.  The closest skytrain stations are Burrard St Station (Burrard & Dunsmuir) and City Centre Station (Granville & West Georgia).

Parking is available in the Sutton Place Hotel as well as in EasyPark Parking Lots throughout downtown
