Jan 11 | Resume Clinic | Marlene Delanghe and John Horn
Tailor your resume for industry jobs and get feedback on yours from career specialists. Leading the panel of speakers will be Marlene Delanghe and John Horn.
Marlene has 14 years of experience in career development and corporate training as Career Coach, Trainer, Outplacement Consultant and Human Resources Manager. She has worked with over 1,500 clients in government, health care, post-secondary institutions, not-for-profit organizations and high-tech industry to find work or gain greater career satisfaction. She has worked with the University of British Columbia since 2000 and is also the principle of her own career coaching and training firm, CAREER SOLUTIONS.

John has Over 10 years experience in providing innovative and personalized career education. He is currently Associate Director at The University of British Columbia’s Career Services. Previously, he was Career Manager at UBC’s Sauder School of Business. He has also served as the advisor for Work Integrated Learning (WIL) at SFU’s career services and a Continuing Education Instructor at Camosun College. John is also an excellent public speaker; he was featured on CBC's The Hour in 2005 and is a sought-after Emcee for many national conferences.
Jan 18 | Interview Clinic | Marlene Delanghe and Dr. Catherine Campbell
Practice your interview skills through interactive mock interview sessions with industry representatives. Our industry representative and guest interviewer for this workshop will be Dr. Catherine Campbell.
Catherine is a corporate development associate at Allon Therapeutics Inc, a clinical-stage biotech company focused on developing the first drugs that impact the progression of neurodegenerative diseases. Allon’s lead drug davunetide, is proceeding in Phase 2/3 clinical trial in an orphan indication, progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). Catherine obtained her B. Sc in Biochmeistry from Concordia University in Montreal, QC. Upon completion of her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of British Columbia, BC, Catherine entered the WestLink Technology Commercialization Internship Program to explore non-academic options to stay connected with her industry. Through WestLink, Catherine completed placements at SFU's Technology Transfer office, Allon Therapeutics and NDI Capital.
